Rope
Wakesurfing has a modified rope. It is about 20 feet long with a short one handed handle. This is to assist the rider in getting up, getting into the "sweet spot" of the wake, and to toss back into the boat. Not much to the rope other than a small handle, 20 feet of rope and a few different points on the rope to connect to your boat. It is not a requirement to get a rope like this and I probably just will use a normal handle, but it is just another expense to add up to this new project.
I believe that someone who is learning how to wakesurf, does not have to purchase a rope and handle like this in order to be successful. The benefit of a rope like this, it is lighter and easier to toss into the boat when you are done with it. But for the purpose of wakesurfing, one does not need to purchase a rope like this, it is just another expense in an already very expensive sport.
