After watching this video, I sat down and asked myself how I viewed my active on-line life. Was I a visitor, or was I a resident? As of today, I am definently more of a visitor than a resident. When I was an undergraduate student, I could say that I was more of a resident, but that was back in 2006. In the time of social media, that was a life time ago and I was be considered OLD. I have rarely blogged, never used twitter or Instagram. My extent of social media back in the day would have been Facebook, back when there was "the" in front of it, and everyone was kickin' it on Myspace with Dane Cook. Today, like the video points out, I am afraid that social media will take away my private life. Which leads me to what I want to get out of social media, to be able to have a professional side which could be the resident, and a private which I can still hide away as a visitor.
